It’s a formula that is almost as foolproof as the Pythagorean theorem

It’s kind of a bummer watching old Law & Orders now, because anytime someone from The Wire shows up during the course of an investigation – and they aren’t a lawyer – there’s an extremely high chance that they did it. Unfortunately, there’s a comically high level of crossover between the two programs.

Maybe good, hard-boiled type character actors are hard to find. Or maybe L&O has just been around so long that eventually everyone with a SAG card is going to get a guest spot. Either way, it kind of ruins the magic if they appear on my television screen ten minutes into the episode.

It’s a formula that is almost as foolproof as the Pythagorean theorem and it’s ruining twenty seasons of one of my favourite shows on television.

DUN DUN!

Oh look – it’s Clay Davis, saying he was nowhere near the murder scene. … He did it.
